Datex announces acquisition of telecom expense management services business from Yak Communications

Toronto, Ontario – June 5th, 2007

Datex Billing Services Inc. (“Datex”) today announced that is has acquired the telecom expense management services business of Contour Telecom Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Yak Communications (Canada) Corp. (“Yak Communications”). Contour is an outsourced provider of telecom expense management services including consolidated billing, sophisticated cost management and robust reporting.

The acquired business is synergistic to Datex’ activities and brings diversification to Datex’ billing and customer management services. The acquired business has many Fortune 1000-type clients that will enhance Datex’ presence and service offering to tier-one companies. This transaction moves Datex into the much larger enterprise market, whereas Datex has dealt almost exclusively in the carrier market niche up to now. Datex also secures a revenue stream as Contour has been a Datex client for the past four years. Additionally, this acquisition brings to Datex a number of highly experienced telecom personnel which reinforce Datex’ internal operational capacities.
