The company’s beginning was a coming together of veterans in the industry: marketing specialists, technical experts, operations managers, all of them frustrated with the status quo and looking to provide customers with a new and friendly experience.

After several meetings and much brainstorming, the founders decided on a model: the company would offer fifty cent bundles to customers, providing a fixed number of long distance minutes 4 50¢, maximizing value for price-conscious customers all the while providing superior customer service and doing away with tricky additional fees and contracts. Early in 2005, 450TeL Communications Inc. was born.
